REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT BIO:
Richard Graf of Fort Point Consulting, Inc., has over 22 years of experience as a principal in real estate development firms in the Boston area. He has created commercial and residential projects valued from $3,000,000 to $63,000,000. His completed projects include several million square feet of office, laboratory and commercial space, live/work artists buildings, urban loft buildings, and over 300 residential units. Most of these projects have reused non-productive industrial sites, often historically certified. Since 1992, Richard has also been the Principal of Fort Point Consulting, Inc., an adviser to clients on development issues from urban to project scale, with specializations in artist’s live/work space, historic preservation, historic tax credits and adaptive reuse.
As a visiting professor (1989-97) at Harvard University, he concentrated on the relationship between real estate economics and urban design. Richard is a licensed architect in the state of Massachusetts. He is a graduate of The Cooper Union (1975), and holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design degree, with Distinction, from Harvard University (1983).
