Several of our artists are moving out of state and we have a few lofts opening in June. This is your opportunity to join the largest artist community of its kind on the East Coast.

Western Avenue Studios is expanding again!

Over the past 8 years Western Avenue in Lowell has evolved into the largest artist community of its kind on the East Coast, with 50 live/work lofts restricted to artist occupancy we are now adding another 60 studios, bringing us to 245 studios. Western Avenue Studios has an active artist association, a cooperative gallery and hosts First Saturday Open Studios the first Saturday of every month.
Brand new artist studios available in Lowell, January, 2013

Up to 36 new artist studios are available for commitment now, with occupancy scheduled for January, 2013. These studios, being built in the top three floors of the historical Gates Block, in downtown Lowell, will each be totally self-contained with floor-to-ceiling walls, lockable doors, individual electric meters, individual air conditioning and heating unit.

New Artist Studio Building, Beverly MA

Porter Mill, located in downtown Beverly MA, is the North Shore's newest artist studio building. This 1895 mill building now houses twenty-two beautifully lit artist studios ready to be occupied on May 1st, 2011. Exhibition space and access to a printmaking facility will also be available to artists.
Additional programming available to all artists and the community include biannual open studio events, gallery exhibitions, film screenings, artist talks, poetry readings, group critiques and more.
Located a two minute walk from the Newburyport/Rockport Commuter rail, fifteen minute walk to Montserrat College of Art and their three galleries, and a twenty minute walk to the Atlantic Ocean. Easily accessible from Route 128.
