Finding Space

Finding Space

Consider the following before beginning your search for artist space:

1. What special requirements does your type of artwork require?

2. Where do you want to live or work?

3. What is a price range that is realistic to you?

4. Are you seeking temporary or permanent space?

5. Would you prefer a communal or solitary space?

These criteria are essencial to your search, and will act as a guide as you move forward through the process.

Please visit artspacefinder to see our available listings. If you are looking to rent or buy affordable housing in general (not specifically artist space), check out our pages on affordable housing.

The search for residential space versus commercial or industrial space is very different; in each section we will try to describe the differences and challenges of both.

This section also includes pages on:

1. Internet Searches (outside of artspacefinder)

2. Other Search Methods

3. Working with Realtors

4. Surplus Public Property
