Completing the Purchase Process
The purchase process is completed at the closing. You and lender’s attorney will get together and review and sign the loan documents for the purchase. You may have your attorney present. You will present identification, the insurance binder, and the check for outstanding expenses. As you sign, review what you are signing. The lender’s attorney will record the deed with the county and hand you the keys to your new home.
Remember to arrange for utilities and moving activities in advance. You own the property as of the closing and you will be responsible for taking care of it, heating it, lighting it from that time forward
