The African American Master Artists-in-Residence Program (AAMARP) began in 1974 when Northeastern University provided studio space to artist Dana Chandler. Established officially in 1977, the program was the first African American artist-in-residence program in the United States, providing studio space on an annually renewable basis to visual artists.

Two studios available for either projects or rental as working artists' space. First is approximately 15' x 14' and second is approximately 11' x 14'. 8'+ walls, with open ceilings; smaller studio has skylight.

Artist work-studio available at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA. Located in a renovated old textile mill, the studio is 800 sq. ft. with original wood floors, three windows, and high 20+ ft. ceilings. There is freight elevator/loading dock access. Solo occupancy is $400 monthly, a shared studio is $500. One-year license agreement with an option to renew. Hi-speed Internet is available.

Stonybrook Fine Arts is a sculpture studio offering classes and commission work in welding, bronze casting, figure sculpture, jewelry, moldmaking and ceramic sculpture. Saturday shoptime is also available for the above items.  We also have work spaces on the upper two floors.

Two Room Studio, 300 sf, available in artist building; basic kitchen, access to bathroom, 24 hour access. There is on-street parking and parking at end of drive for moving stuff in and out. Safe, residential neighborhood near Savin Hill and JFK T stops. This would make a great 2-D, photography, design studio; Dorchester Open Studios in October each year.
